With the month coming to an end, users can expect Google to soon release the October security patch. This security patch is then incorporated by OEM brands and pushed out with their own patches to the users worldwide. To prepare for the coming month, Samsung is rolling out Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge September security update across the continental Europe.

The update is currently being pushed over for all the unlocked variants of the older flagship devices across Europe. Hence, is your Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge is tied to a network carrier, expect the update to reach you even later.

Despite being labeled as Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge September security update, the OTA comes as a large file size of 140MB. Reports suggest that the update brings a large number of much-needed patches for the Android OS, as well as the respective devices in general.
