It has been months since the first iteration of the Android 7.0 software was released, and brands such as LG and Motorola has followed. Now as the year comes to an end and more manufacturers, like Sony are catching up, Samsung is rolling out the fourth Nougat beta update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
Unlike the previous versions of the Nougat beta update that was released for the flagship devices, this version does not come with anything spectacular. However, out of the details in the changelog, the line “Samsung Notes has been removed” does stand out.
Although the Samsung Notes app has been removed from the fourth Nougat Beta update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, you can now get it directly from the Google Play Store. One other difference noted by several beta users is that there is no longer any mention of the Samsung Experience.

Whether Samsung plans to bring back the TouchWiz name or not, we will have to wait and see in the final release of Android Nougat for Galaxy devices. The update comes with a file size of 280MB, packing several software optimizations and fixes to bugs that have been reported by the users over time.
If you are among the Galaxy Beta Program members who are eligible for the fourth Nougat Beta update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, expect the OTA notification in the coming week. You can also go ahead and update your device manually by heading over to Settings->Software Update-> Software manual download.
