While Google is boosting its Nexus devices to the next generation with Android 7.0 Nougat, Samsung is ensuring the latest updates for its devices. In an attempt to keep its 2015 flagship phablet in line with the latest security, Samsung is pushing out Galaxy Note 5 update. As reported earlier, the patch released on August 1 fixes 3 out of the 4 major vulnerabilities of QuadRooter that affects millions of Android devices. Being a security update and nothing more, you should not expect any visible performance enhancements with the update. The build number of the latest Galaxy Note 5 update is N920GUBU2BPH2 with a file size of 76.93MB. If you’re among the eligible users, you should be able to see the notification for “Software Update” on the notification drawer soon. However, you can always manually check for the update by accessing Settings->About phone->Software update->Check for updates. If you want to stay ahead of the line when it comes to Galaxy Note 5 updates, make sure to check out our Samsung firmware update platform.
