Galaxy S5 Android 5.0 update came just a few months ago and now the rollout is complete. There are many reports of Galaxy S5 owners having issues with the Android 5.0 update. Due to the overwhelming reports on the handsets’ issues, we have analyzed some of the common issues and their fixes.The S5 Lollipop update was launched as early as December 2014. The Android 5.0 Lollipop update was released a month ago. To see the update roll out so fast on the Galaxy S5, it was likely there would some issues.A lot of the S5 users may not be facing problems with their handsets after updating them to Lollipop, however, the number of reports indicates that some S5 owners are facing bunch of issues. Sammy has promised to fix the issues with its new updates releases. However, if you’re currently facing issues, below are some of the fixes:
  1. Wi-Fi and Mobile Data problems
A lot of S5 owners have issues connecting to their Wi-Fi networks. In case you have that issue, you can try forgetting it then perform a reboot on your handset. Authenticate it to see if it can work. In case this fails, reboot the rooter, then confirm again.In case you are having issues with the Mobile data connectivity, discard Access Point settings, then reboot your handsets & configure the access point settings again.
  1. Bluetooth Issues
Some owners are unable to connect their Bluetooth devices. To solve this problem, de-authorize the paired Bluetooth devices that are giving you issues then try pairing them again.
  1. Battery Life Issues
Some of the users are experiencing excessive battery drain after the update. Try clearing the cache and make sure all applications are up to date. In case you figure out an application consuming most of your battery life, you may want to uninstall it.

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
Option 3
Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
