It was not long ago since Samsung launched the Galaxy A7, yet Samsung seems to be poised in launching the Galaxy A8. The A8 is rumored to be slimmer and powerful than its predecessor. Taking into account that the A7 is just 6.3mm thick, a slimmer model sounds pretty impressive.

1. Price and Release Date

Samsung is yet to announce when the Galaxy A8 will be released but we expect the release to be sooner than later. This is because the handset has been certified by FCC in US and TENAA in China. There is no guarantee that the handset will be launched in UK despite the facts that the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 models were released in UK.The price of the Galaxy A8 is still unknown but the device is expected to be more costly than the Galaxy A7 which is now available over £300, it won’t be a surprise if the handset sells around £400.

2. Design

According to TENAA, the Galaxy A7 will feature a 5.94 thick body. The thickness is enough to make it the slimmest Samsung smartphone ever. The full dimensions are apparently 158 x 76.77 x 5.94mm with a metal frame just like its predecessors.

3. Screen

The Galaxy A8 is rumored to have a 5.7 inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 super AMOLED display, so we are talking about a phablet, which makes it different from the earlier A-series models.

4. Specs

The handset is rumored to carry a 2GB RAM and a 1.5GHz octa core Snapdragon 615 processor. The handset will run the Android 5.1 Lollipop update. The Galaxy A8 will also feature a 16MP rear camera and front camera of 5 megapixels and a 16GB internal storage. In addition, the handset will feature a 3050 mAh battery and a 4G support.
