We had recently reported that Samsung had begun the rollout of October security patch for mid-range devices like the Galaxy J7 Prime and others. However, less than a week later, October security patch for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is out as well.
The update has been released for the international variant of the Samsung flagship devices across continental Europe. With a firmware bump to XXS1BPJ1, the update is currently live in Germany and the Netherlands and should roll out to other countries soon.
The official report log for the update mentions a total of 68 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) in the Android OS and the device itself. As expected, the update will be pushed out incrementally across the European continent and then soon across the world.
