The transfer rates are great. The device can sustain the 520MBps write speed and 540MBps on all capacity from the 120GB Evo to the 1TB Evo. According to rumors, Samsung is trying to establish a 2TB version.

The device becomes awesome on installing the Magician software which has successfully undergone a lot of changes to improve its performance. The device is also boosted by the RAPID, by storing frequently accessed data in the system’s RAM. RAPID does an excellent job. The device tracks firmware updates and also the drive’s health.

Samsung is offering a 5 year warranty on the 850 Evo. Samsung has also worked on the power consumption area. Power device’s power draw during idle is 50Mw. The device has doubled RAM caches and a different controller.
