Last year, Samsung lost a patent trial against Apple, and was asked to pay $1 billion to the Cupertino giant. The two companies have been involved in lots of trials over the years, with wins to the both sides. However, Korea Times is reporting that the two multinationals were considering an amiable settlement. However Apple's impossible and arrogant demands have been too much for Samsung to even consider this. The Korean publication is presenting what sourced familiar with the issue have said, which is that Apple asked Samsung to pay $30 per each phone and $40 per each tablet as part of a cross-licensing deal. At the amounts of devices that Samsung sold, the amount of money they would have to pay is enormous. Not only this, but apparently Apple asked Samsung to sign an 'anti cloning' agreement which would forbid Samsung from ever copying any of Apple's devices. There is no way Samsung would accept this offer from Apple, and there is no other way than to continue the legal disputes.
