zFans of smartphones are almost all the time attracted by devices which are quickly becoming flagships for the companies that are producing them. Here it is the presentation of a very good device which is not a flagship, but it has nice features and an attractive design at a low price.I am telling you about Samsung Galaxy Fame which is a very nice smartphone with a 3.5 inch screen, 1 GHZ single core processor and a 5 megapixel camera. This is a good alternative for Samsung lovers who don't have enough money to buy a flagship device. The device is running Android Jelly Bean, but it doesn't offer very good resolutions and viewing angles as Samsung Galaxy S3 or S4 does.If we think about its software and performance, we should tell you, that the device is running Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 which is really nice. There are three home screens which you can fill with apps and widgets. You will find settings for Brightness, WiFi connectivity and Bluetooth if you swipe down the notifications bar. The interface is simple, but you will enjoy it certainly. The processor will probably cause you some nerves, but you will use the phone easily if you don't perform many actions at the same time. The design is close to Galaxy S3, but it is a little bit rougher. However, it can never be compared with the Huawei Ascend G510 or other smartphones which are really ugly. The size is really small for a smartphone, fact which is making it very easy to hold in your hand. It is a little bit chubby if we think about its thickness and the plastic construction makes it look cheap. Around the edges is the power button, a 3.5mm headphone jack and the micro-USB port for charging and data transfer. Under the back casing is where you'll get access to the SIM-card slot and the microSD card slot to expand the internal storage. The internal usable storage is about 2GB, so you will certainly need a microSD card. The display has a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and the screen size is 3.5 inch. It is very small for a smartphone, but it is making his job well. The photos, videos and apps will have a smaller room, but you can manage with that. However, the screen is better than the one of LG Optimus L3 II which has 320 x 240 pixels. The images offered aren't very bad, but if you change the angle of viewing to the left or right, the colors will look strange. The camera is a 5 megapixel model which is really good for a smartphone with this small size. Tests are showing that the camera has a high quality and you will use it to take nice pictures. Colors will be reproduced well and your videos will be very close to reality. The battery is a 1,300Ah battery which is not very very big, but it suit best with the phone needs. You can use it up to 6 hours of 3G talk time which is quite good. The battery level will decrease fast if you use the Internet, but will satisfy you if you don't use the device excessive. As a conclusion, this phone is a small brother of the flagships offered by Samsung and will never provide you the same experience as S3 or S4 will do. However, it is a very nice phone, which can be used for a long time and will provide you all features that a good smartphone should give to its users. Choose it if you have a small budget and you will not regret it.
