It's been a couple of months since leading electronics giant Samsung launch a new tab, but things seem to be brightening up now. According to reports, the South Korean smartphones manufacturer may have a number of new devices coming up in the market very soon.

The first reports on this were gathered from the blog Sam Mobile, which so far has maintained a clean track record when it comes to accurately reporting on Samsung launchers. It appears that new Galaxy Tablet and Galaxy Note tabs are in the works. So far, the blog has managed to unearth 8 tablet model numbers that pertain to Sammy's upcoming tablets. Half of these will belong to the Galaxy Note tabs line, while the rest will be classified in the Galaxy Tab line.

Samsung is likely to introduce a large and a small version of its new Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab devices, as well as Wi-Fi only and cellular versions on each edition. This might explain why there are so many model numbers.

Looking at Sammy's previous tablets, it's apparent that the smaller editions will likely have a screen size of 7” or 8”. On the other hand, the larger edition tablets are expected to have 10” or 12” display.

Samsung has been working on a number of smartphones and tablets of late, in a new strategy that's aimed at netting a wider market and enhancing the company's competitive advantage. This comes as the South Korean tech giant struggles to keep its profit straight and maintain its predominant market share. The new devices are likely to be announced during the Mobile World Congress to be held in Barcelona in March. As Samsung Update reported earlier, the company is also likely to announce the flagship Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone there.
