While Android-based smartphone brands like Samsung, Sony and Motorola have already revealed their plans on Android 7.0 Nougat, OnePlus fans have also been patiently waiting for any word. To address their users, OnePlus conducted an AMA (ask me anything) session on Reddit, addressing the question about the availability of Nougat for OnePlus 3. Although there is no exact release date on Android Nougat for OnePlus 3, the company spokesperson explained that they are “already actively working on it”. There are unofficial CyanogenMod ROM builds that can help you get Nougat on OnePlus 3 right away. However, the official OxygenOS release might take a few more months to reach the end users. On another topic of discussion, there is some relief to the budget-centric OnePlus X users. OnePlus also revealed that the OnePlus X will be receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow next week, which will be the last major update for the device. OnePlus X comes with a Snapdragon 801 SoC, which comes with a graphics driver that is incompatible with Android Nougat. Some discussion on a rumoured OnePlus smartwatch also took place, and the company confirmed that it was not working on any such idea right now. Are you among the OnePlus X users who are glad to finally see Android Marshmallow on their devices next week? Do let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below.
