Hearthstone just released their latest expansion, Whispers of the Old Gods, and it's live across all Android devices as well.Blizzard's cross-platform game allows you to play on Android against opponents on all operating systems. With the latest expansion come changes to the gameplay, as well as hundreds of new cards .The update just went live today and it brings a lot of new features to an already complex game. If you're a fan of the game and often play on an Android device, this should keep you glued to your phone for the next couple of days. We're not going to get into the new cards at the moment, but here's an overview of what's new in this Hearthstone update:

Wild game mode

wildHere you'll have every single card Hearthstone ever had. As new expansions get released, the cards will all be up for grabs and decks will have a huge selection to choose from. This is just like the old way of playing, and has a Casual and a Ranked mode. So it's going to really get wild and push deck building to the limit.

Standard game mode

standardThis is the new game mode that Blizzard introduced with the recent Hearthstone update. Here, only the expansions from the last two years will be available and decks will therefore have a limited amount of cards to choose from. Much like the old way of playing, you have to carefully choose the cards you play if you want to stay on top of the game.

Free packs

packsTo celebrate the new release, Blizzard is giving away free packs with the new Hearthstone update. For the first two Standard games that you win you'll get 5 free packs, and for the following 5 wins you'll get another 5 packs for free. This will give you 50 cards to start you off with the new expansion.Get in on the action by downloading the Hearthstone app if you haven't already!Image source: Youtube
