Moto G 2015 owners in India can now get to enjoy a New Year’s treat from Motorola in form of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software version update. The over-the-air update is currently being rolled out to the Moto G3 Indian model number XT1550.This previous month, Motorola began the release of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its third generation Moto G handset for users in the US and Canada regions. The Marshmallow update weighs around 2GB and raises the handset’s software version to 24.11.25.en.US.The third generation Motorola handset from the Moto G series will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow up from Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. With the update comes features such as a battery extending function referred to as the Doze Mode, Google Now on Tap which allows you to search for relevant information concerning anything on your screen, as well the removal of “Assist” and “Migrate” functions.Users of the Moto G3 as usual can expect a notification alert for the update but if you prefer to check manually then confirm by navigating to the phone’s Settings then tap the About phone option and then select System Update. It is important to note that the rollout is happening gradually, thus it may take a little while for all users to receive the update notification.

On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
