Good news for Moto X (2014) owners in the European territories and some carrier channels in Latin America, as Motorola begins rolling the Android 6.0 software update. The Motorola company had already began a full roll out of the Marshmallow firmware to Moto X Style third generation and Moto X Force 2015 owners in selected regions.Reports suggest that Motorola has already started the update roll out in Australia on Telstra. This is surprising considering the company had initially disclosed that the Moto X 2014 Marshmallow update will be made available exclusively to regions such as Canada, Latin America, Asia and Europe. However, Motorola confirmed that they had launched a soak test for the Android 6.0 software for the Moto X 2014 (2nd generation) in over 20 countries, Australia and India included. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system takes up 884 MB worth of the Moto X 2014 storage and will update to a 24.11.18 software version. Users of the Moto X 2014 should expect to see a notification alert for the update installation. For those who do not receive the alert, they can check for the update availability by heading to Settings >> About Phone >> System updates >> Check for updates. Some of the Android Marshmallow highlights include Android Pay, enhanced App permissions, Doze mode, Direct Share and Google Now on Tap among other improvements.
