Indian students smartphonesTata Consultancy Services conducted a complex research for Indian high school students to see what are their preferences when it comes to mobile brands, social technologies and so on. The survey was conducted on 17 500 students born after 1996 and the results can only satisfy one brand: Samsung. The results place Samsung on the most preferred Mobile brand with 48.28 percent, followed closely by Nokia and Apple. However only 65% of the interviewed kids have a smartphone and only 50% have one with an Android OS.The high school kids also seem to prefer social networking as the main form of communication, instead of SMS and voice calls. 74% of the interviewed participants use Facebook as communication mean and only 54% use SMS.The survey was not conducted to serve the technological giants but rather to understand how the young generation adapts to the new technological and social trends.Source.
