After the launch of Google's Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, Huawei revealed that it will begin pushing the latest Android version to its Honor devices at the start of February 2016. However, owners of the Honor 7 smartphone in the Indian region can cut the wait short, as the company has began releasing the update to the handsets. On the facebook page, Huawei posted a link for the registration for the over the air update of the 6.0 Marshmallow ROM. Users only need to submit their phone's IMEI number, email address, phone number as well as their current software version. After a successful registration, users will have to wait up to 48 hours before they can receive a notification for the update. If you own an Honor device and you receive the update notification, to begin the update process, simply tap on the 'Yes Download' option, then opt for 'Install Now'. Afterwards the handset will reboot automatically whereas your software version will now be updated. Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will carry a features such as power-saving features, improved speeds on the Chrome Browser, fingerprint sensor support, Google photos auto back up, and an intuitive Google Now on Tap. Huawei has also disclosed that other devices set to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update include the Honor 4X, Honor 4C, Honor 6 and the Honor 6 Plus.
