Huawei isn't known for their consistency when it comes to releasing Android software updates. The Chinese smartphone company has been however, slowly releasing the Android Lollipop OS update on a number of its Huawei devices. Some handsets that have already seen the Lollipop software include the Ascend P7, Ascend Mate 7, Honor 4X, and the Honor 6. The Ascend G7 is the latest device from Huawei to get a taste of the Android Lollipop upgrade. Just recently Huawei launched a ROM update for its Ascend G7 smartphone that will raise the device's software up to Android 5.1 Lollipop. The update is said to be via Firmware Over-The-Update that accessible to Ascend G7 devices complemented with a G760-L01 model number. This update however is applicable to owners in France, Netherlands,Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium and Switzerland. Owners of the Huawei Ascend G7 should look out for the update notification. However, users can click the following link for the manual download of the Lollipop firmware. Once you have the file downloaded, extract the Update.app file, copy it to the dload folder in your microSD storage and start the local Updater upgrade on your Ascend G7.
