To everyone’s surprise, Motorola was among the first non-Google brands to bring the Android 7.0 Nougat update to its budget-ranged devices. Apart from the goodness of enhanced Doze Mode and fluidic user interface, you can now also use one-handed mode on Moto G4 and G4 Plus.
Apart from the user-friendly one-hand mode, the latest update also brings a slew of Moto Actions. This feature essentially brings a bunch of gestures to the devices, which we will be sure to discuss in another post. For now, here is the easiest way to activate the cool new one-handed mode feature right now.
How to Use One-Handed Mode on Moto G4 and G4 Plus
From the home screen of your Moto G4 and G4 Plus device, head over to the app drawer and tap on the Moto app icon as seen below. In this app designed especially for the Moto devices, you will find the Actions tab, so go ahead and open it.
In the Actions tab, you can find the “Swipe to shrink screen” option, which is essentially a different name for the one-handed mode feature. Toggle the switch next to this option to turn it on and you can tap on the “Show me how” button to see a quick tutorial.
To enter and use one-handed mode on Moto G4 and G4 Plus, all you need to do is swipe, up, left, right or bottom of the screen. This action will automatically shrink down the content on the 5.5-inch screen, making it pleasantly easy for you to navigate the screen with just one hand.
