After Xiaomi teased us with us with its Xiaomi Max images ahead of its launch today, its appears, Huawei has sort of done the same thing. With the company set to join the launching train today with their upcoming Honor V8, images of the device have surfaced hours before its official unveiling. Prior to this leak, Huawei had already teased that the May 10, 2016 would be the set date for the unveiling of the Honor-branded device. What's more we got a sneak preview of what would be powering the device beneath its hardware, hell! we even saw it pass through China's TENAA and get certified by the regulatory agency.honorv8The newly surfaced pics give us a glimpse of the Honor V8's dual camera setup at the back, which now seems like a trend for Huawei's newest devices. In addition, we also get to see that it will feature its trademark fingerprint scanner. The device which is approximately 157 x 77.60 x 7.75 mm is also seen in the hands of a user, which gives us a pretty good idea of how big it will be while hand-held.honor v8 imagesAs for what else you can expect from the device, Honor V8 features a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 1080 p, which is powered an octa-core processor (probably Kirin 950) clocked at speeds of 2.3 GHz. For smoother performance, the phone also bundles 4 GB of RAM and on-board storage of 32 GB, which can be expanded thanks the device's incorporation of a microSD card slot. Another variant of the Honor V8 device is said to also launch alongside it, bearing slightly more robust features such as a QHD 2560 x 1440 display of the same size, a faster processing package clocking at 2.5 GHz, as well as an internal storage of 64 GB.The two device variants will both embody a dual configured 12MP main camera, complemented with an 8MP front facing shooter. Meeting the standards for 2016's new releases, it will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box, with its housed battery capacity set to be 3,400 mAh.Based on its specs so far, Honor V8 will more than likely land in the lower to mid-range category of Huawei devices. Another interesting factor we got to see from the leaked images related to the camera is its support for 360 degree photography. This will be especially useful if you are capturing images of a moving subject. As for its pricing and its other features, we will have to wait till its formally launched later on today. What are your thoughts on the Honor V8?
