The rumors spread online this weekend which are announcing that Google had purchased Israeli mapping and navigation software maker Waze were true.
The total sum is expected to be somewhere over a billion dollars fact which is making this news very important. Apple and Facebook also wanted in the past to add Waze on their acquisitions list, but the deals were never finished. So, we are thinking that Google offered a large amount of money to have it. However, we will never know until we see an official announcement from Google.

So, Waze will act for Google as a very modern GPS which is actualizing its information very fast. If you drive on a highway or any other road, you will probably know what you will find on your way to your destination. In this way, you can avoid traffic jams, or jams caused by an accident or even police controls.
Android and iOS users count a total number of 50 million devices which have Waze installed. Those users can change information for a better trip and they can diminish their time to the destination. Also, they can inform each other for the cheapest gas stations or any other thing that they consider interesting. More features will probably be available on the future for Google Maps and Google Navigation.
