Samsung announced the new Galaxy S4 Active after one month from the start of the rumors on the Internet. The device has almost the same features as the original model, but it has an unique design which was created to protect the phone against a rougher usage. The device was designed to follow the IP67 certification. That means it is dust proof and also waterproof for 1m and 30 minutes time period. It seems that the size is a little bit bigger than the original model with approximate 1mm.
The features of the new device are close to the original model: 5-inch Full HD TFT LCD screen, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 8-megapixel rear camera (lower than the 13 original MP), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi ac, NFC, Wi-Fi Direct, irDA, and USB connectivity. The processor is 1.9 GHZ quad-core CPU and the RAM is 2 GB. The memory is 16GB but you will probably use only 11.25GB at full capacity.

JK Shin said about the device:
The device will be first launched in the U.S. and Sweden. It will be available is three color themes: Orange Flare, Urban Grey and Dive Blue. Samsung will probably introduce it at the event held in London on June 20.
