The wave of Samsung devices getting updated to Android 12 continues as the first week of 2022 kicks off with a piece of good news for the Samsung S10 5G owners. While it was last week when other smartphones of the S10 family got the One UI 4.0, the 5G variant got its share sooner than expected.

Bearing the version number G977BXXUBGULB, the new update packs all the Android 12 goodies alongside the December 2021 security patch. As of now, the update is live for the devices in Switzerland and is expected to reach the other parts of Europe in a day or two.

In case you're from Switzerland and still awaiting the stable One UI 4.0 on your Galaxy S10 5G, I would recommend a manual checkup. Visit the Software update section under the Settings menu and verify.

US Based Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 Gets One UI 4.0

With Samsung resuming the Android 12 featured updates on the Verizon units of Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 last week, it has reached other versions. From Comcast to Xfinity, the Samsung foldable locked to various carrier networks in the US are finally getting their share of One UI 4.0. The new update extends for the unlocked variants as well.

Home to Android 12 goodies and the December 2021 security patch, the new firmware hits the unlocked variants of Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3with version numbers F711U1UES2BUL7 and F926USQS1BUL7, respectively. The same for the carrier-locked variant is F711USQS2BUL7.

Stable One UI 4.0 is Out for S20 FE 4G

The new year kicks off with great news for the Samsung S20 FE users in Malayasia as the Android 12 based firmware, featuring One UI 4.0, is finally live. However, there is a catch. The update is currently exclusive for devices that are powered by Snapdragon 865 chip. 

Talking about the firmware, in particular, it comes with G780GXXU3BUL9 as the version number.

In case you remember, Nokia wrapped up the year 2021, updating X10 and X20 devices to Android 12. Well, 2022 starts off with a bang as it is time for Nokia G50 to taste the same. Although nothing has been made clear from the official end, reports suggest that the update is currently exclusive for Finland and other European nations.

Weighing somewhere around 2.09 GB, the new firmware bags V2.160 version number. Besides the Android 12 goodies, the new version carries the November 2021 security patch.

It has been quite some time since Asus rolled out the Android 12 testing variant on the Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip. Luckily, the stable version is out for the users to enjoy.

The firmware for the Zenfone 8 and the Zenfone Flip 8 bags the version number 31.1004.0404.73 and 31.1004.0404.61, respectively. However, the update is currently limited for the devices sporting model designation ZS590KS for Zenfone 8, and the same for Zenfone 8 Flip is ZS672KS.

Google Pixel 3 Series Gets the Firmware Fixing Emergency Calling Bug

All the Pixel 3 users who've been troubled with the bugs causing emergency calls connection issues can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Corresponding to the build number SP1A.210812.016.A2 and weighing a mere500KB big, the firmware resolves emergency dialing. In other words, you can now call 911 without any trouble. For the domain, the new update is available for download to almost every user, even those locked to Verizon.

January Update For all Supported Pixels is Out

At the beginning of 2022, Google announced that the January updates for the Pixel devices. It mentioned that every supported Pixel would get the new update, except the newly released Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The build number corresponding to the new update is SQ1A.220105.002.

Just being a few days apart from the stable update of Realme GT 5G in IndiaRealme announced the release of the early access program corresponding to the Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 firmware for the GT Master Edition.

Are you interested in trying the Realme UI 3.0? Well then, here is how you can enroll yourself in the early access program:

  • Head over to the Settings menu in your GT Master Edition
  • Scroll down and look for the option that says Software Update.
  • Click on the Settings icon or the Gear icon that sits on the top-right corner.
  • Find and tap on the Trial version followed by Early Access.
  • Finally, hit Apply Now, and proceed to submit the requested details. Once accepted, you'll receive the update over the air.

Pre Requisites:

  • Ensure that your Realme GT Master Edition bags have more than 10GB of storage.
  • The device must have at least 60% battery. 
  • Your device must be running the firmware featuring the version number RMX3360_11_A.08. 

Keep in Mind:

Early access builds aren't as good as stable builds. So experiencing bugs is pretty evident. Also, it can potentially hamper the overall user experience.
