Pixel 3 Gets Android 12

The annual fall event of Google has recently concluded with the announcement of the launch of Pixel 6. Alongside that, the company has finalized the release of Android 12, and this time around, the download has been made available for the Pixel 3 users. With that being said, if you own a compatible device, you can simply navigate to the System Settings and hover over to the System Update section.

Talking about the changes, the OS is evidently the one that shares the most of it. Embedding material changes, the UI looks and feels visually pleasing. In addition, the new firmware features an ability that will let users customize the entire theming system and drive colors from the wallpaper. Permission settings have also been updated to make sure everything is well-positioned.

A Quick Look at the New Features:

  • The new firmware brings personalized designs that adapt to the color of the wallpaper.
  • Dedicated widget for personalized conversations.
  • A new feature called scrolling screenshots has been added.
  • Turning the mic on and off is now more flexible with quick controls.
  • Status bar indicator displaying the instances when the mic of your camera is accessed.
  • It has enhanced privacy controls.

Android 12 Beta is Set to Come Back

With Google finalizing the Android 12 stable version launch, scenes for the beta releases felt like ceasing until the clock ticks for Android 13. However, it is not the case. Recently, Google took their official Reddit platform to announce the continuation of the Android 12 Beta program in December.

In other words, every device which is currently operating the stable version of Android 12 shall receive beta firmware in the near future. The main motive behind this is to check the early feature drops and bring in necessary improvements before the OS gets saturated over the OEM industry.
