It has been quite a few days when OnePlus announced to discontinue the HydrogenOS for its devices in China. Following that, the ColorOS public beta has recently been confirmed for a number of OnePlus and Oppo devices. Talking about the former in particular, the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro are the first ones to get the new ColorOS 12. Both the variants will get the A.11 iteration.

System

  • It has optimized all the desktop icons with new and improved textures. It is done by using a design that is inspired by the brand-new materials and further uniting lights and layers.

Dark mode

  • Dark mode after the update will now support three vivid adjustable levels. It thus brings a more personalized touch and a comfortable user experience.

Shelf

  • With all-new additional style options for Cards, the data contents can be made more visual and easier to read and get along with.
  • The update features a newly added Earphone Control Card with Bluetooth. This also loads up with a one-click adjustment functionality.
  • Newly added access to the exclusive OnePlus Scout in Shelf. It is a great way that allows you to search multiple contents on your phone, including the Apps, Settings, Media Data, etc.
  • Featuring the newly added OnePlus Watch Card on Shelf, you can easily have a glance at your health stats.

Work-Life Balance

  • The work Life Balance feature has now been available for all users. The feature allows you to effortlessly switch between Work and Life mode using the quick settings.
  • WLB 2.0 now supports flexible and automatic Work/Life mode switching. It is generally based on specific locations, Wi-Fi networks, and time.

Gallery

  • Gallery after the update now allows you to switch between different layouts. This can be done simply with a two-finger pinch gesture. It intelligently recognizes the best-quality pictures and further crops the thumbnail based on the available content, making the gallery layout a pleasing thing to look at.

Canvas AOD

  • Canvas AOD now brings home new diverse styles of lines alongside colors for a more personalized, pleasing lock screen experience with inspiring visuals like never before.
  • The update adds multiple brushes and other strokes. Also, the support for color adjustment is added with the update.
  • The update has optimized the software algorithm to ensure improved face recognition. In other words, you can expect your device to identify the minute features and skin color of different figures seamlessly.

  • Some of the third-party apps haven't been adapted to the latest Android 12 build. For that reason, they might not function properly.

The recently launched Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has been busy receiving several updates for the past few weeks. Sadly, multiple bagged a number of bugs. To make sure users are free from such issues, Samsung has rolled out new firmware. Bearing the version number R870XXU1CUJ2, the update focuses majorly on improving system stability and reliability. It would have been better if some additional info was made available, but unfortunately, there is no such scene.

As of now, the firmware is live for the wearables in the US and a few other regions, with the real possibility of hitting the global scene in the upcoming weeks.

Samsung Galaxy A52 Gets RAM Expansion Update

Germany Based Samsung Galaxy S20 Series Gets October Security Update

India Welcomes Samsung One UI 4.0 Beta Featuring Android 12

Samsung has stepped in recently to expand the availability of Android 12 based One UI 4.0 in India. This is a piece of great news for all the Galaxy S21 series users, as they can now sign themselves in for the beta program and enjoy the future of the Android operating system. The registration needs to be done through the Samsung Members app. After the enrollment is done, an OTA software update from the official end will pop up. Installing that will upgrade the devices to the build version ZUJ1 and the new UI will be ready to get operated.
