There were some rumors that the new S5 will have a fingerprint sensor incorporated. Well, that's true ! We will explain you more about this new technology. The new fingerprint sensor isn't produced in the display as many thought, it will be part of the home button. Still Samsung didn't replace the physical buttons with on screen buttons. So how it works? You will need to swipe the entire pad with one of your fingers, across the home button to register your fingerprint in the system. To recognize your fingerprint you will need to swipe the home button at a moderate pace otherwise it won't recognize your fingerprint. It seems that the sensor is sensible to moisture, so you won't unlock your phone with wet hands. The software let you register up to 8 fingerprints. Each one can be used in different actions, but at least one must unlock the device. Samsung created a Personal Mode, where you can hide your apps, information, contact details and so on. To enter this Mode, you'll need to swipe the home button and introduce a security code. You could access you own information just by swiping your finger on the home button. The new S5 will show a live image of your fingerprint as you swipe the home button. Is this a feature that you think is proper the a Galaxy S smartphone?Share on Facebook
