3It seems that there are good times and bad times for Samsung. After closing a deal with Google, for a 10 year cross-license patent agreement, the dispute between Ericsson and Samsung was closed. The bill for Samsung: $650 million to pay in Ericsson's accounts. Samsung will pay the huge sum plus "ongoing royalty payments". This will put an end to the 2012 dispute on touchscreen technologies and cellular networking. As expected, the full settlement wasn't disclosed to the public. Ericsson's officials said that this settlement is enough to end all the disputes between the two companies. Will this be seen as damage for Samsung's numbers in 2014? Maybe the next launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S5 will help to make up for a part of that sum.
