New FB MessengerFacebook has big plans for its messenger app and is bent creating  more integrated and streamlined experience for its users. A limited version has already been delivered to a number of users with a bigger release planned for the following weeks. Find out what you can expect from this release from our coverage of the topic.

Additions

Before you can move forward and even get a chance to see the additions that were made you are going to have to grant some permissions to this app. And by some we mean a lot. A lot more than any of us would have expected at least. Added to this is that the app still requires permission to read and send text messages but these might disappear with the official launching of the finalized product. After this there are a few steps necessary for security such as providing a phone number. You are welcomed to chat with friends by a splash screen with the intent of making this messenger the preferred method of sending messages between phones. You can chat, however, with people that you don't have in your friends list due to the fact that the application associates phone numbers with profiles. When it comes to appearance not many things have changed. Emoticons are still there. Location tracking is there. Noticeable is the addition of a tab which shows you who is active on Facebook and whether they are using a browser or mobile device.  People with this app installed are marked by a blue badge. You can already go ahead and download this version of the Facebook Messenger. But before you do this you should follow these instructions: firstly, you have to uninstall the previous app and secondly, you have to disable auto-updates from the Play Store. The second step is due to the fact that the new application carries a lower version number and the phone would update it.Download Facebook Messenger APK 3.0.1.
