This time, it's Hangouts 2.0 that was updated in Play Store and is now available for everybody with Android 2.3 or higher.Hangouts 2.0 was introduced with Android 4.4 and the Nexus 5 and was a very awaited update as it comes with integrated SMS support.Some other exciting features that were added to the new Hangouts app:
Integrated GIFs. Hangouts now supports GIF formats allowing you to exchange all kinds of funny/interesting or whatever GIF compilation you want.
SMS/MMS support. You can now use Hangouts directly to send this type of messages so you no longer have to use the usual SMS app.
Location Sharing. You can share your location with just a single tap in your conversations.
Full-screen video calls are now supported.
