March 9th isn't a good day for Samsung. A fire started a Samsung's partner which produces PCBs for the latest flagship Galaxy S5. This disaster can cause a delay on the production of S5s. The fire started at around 7:00 AM on Sunday and it kept going for almost six hours even if firefighters where on the scene a couple of minutes after it started. At the end of it, there were 287 firemen and almost 80 vehicles to try to keep down the flames. A fast estimate is that $1 billion in equipment and components were destroyed in the fire. The important news is that this factory was contracted by Samsung to produce PCBs for the new Galaxy S5.This fire incident may cause a delay in the Galaxy S5 production, but Samsung announced that the supply with PCBs was not just from one source. They also have others locations from where they receive PCBs.The delay margin won't be felt hard and the global launch date won't be changed. So April 11th will be the date of the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S5. We are looking forward to it ! Aren't you as well?
