After weeks and weeks of waiting and speculating the Apple officials at last released the 7.9 inch iPad Mini.
Steve Jobs was apparently against 7 inch tablets as he though they have no real life application. The new Apple officials seem to think otherwise as they just released a 7.9 inches tablet with a LED-backlit IPS screen and a resolution of 1024×768 pixels. This is the same resolution used in hte other iPads, but because of the smaller screen, iPad Mini’s ppi equals 163, higher than all iPads.
Here are other specifications for the iPad Mini:
– Apple A5 chipset (same as iPad 2), a dual-core 1 GHz ARM-Cortex A9 CPU.
– Graphic card PowerVR SGX543MP2
– 512 MB RAM memory
– Rear camera at 5MP with 1080p video recording; Front camera with 720p resolution
– Internal memory 16GB/32GB/64GB
The iPad Mini will be available in stores starting with November 2, while now it is only available for pre-orders. The prices for an iPad Mini start from 329$ for the 16GB version and if you want the 32GB or 64 GB version you have to pay 429$ respectively 529$.
