Once a formidable opponent in the mobile master race, the fate of BlackBerry
rests today on its Android-based Priv and DTEK50. Although the BlackBerry Priv has not received an overwhelming response and the DTEK50 is just getting started, the manufacturer is not holding back.
BlackBerry has just released a massive update for the Priv
and DTEK50, giving the minuscule fan base something to cheer about. Keeping their promise on releasing monthly security updates, BlackBerry is trying to create an Android alternative which offers privacy with a safe and secure environment.
Apart from releasing the BlackBerry Hub+ Services for Android Marshmallow users this month, this latest update for Priv
and the upcoming DTEK50 features tons of new attributes. Some of the popular enhancements include Pinch Filter with customizations, Quick Send, Viber integration, Twitter refresh button, and an improved WhatsApp program.
“For our Android update this month, we are happy to share an abundance of new features debuting in our software applications available to PRIV and (coming) DTEK50 smartphones. We continue to hear your feedback and bring in features from BlackBerry 10, like the Pinch Filter in Hub, to ongoing productivity enhancements in every app”
The software update also includes keyboard and camera enhancements, Quick Language Switch, Calendar optimizations as well. If you are among the lucky (and rare) BlackBerry Priv users who is eligible for the newest update, find out more about the update in the official blog post
