Just like Google’s Android Beta Program, BlackBerry Beta Zone offers its beta users the latest features ahead of public release. If you are a BlackBerry Beta Zone member, expect the latest BlackBerry Priv beta update to head your way soon.

While the Android 7.0 Nougat may be months away, the latest beta update does bring interesting security upgrades. BlackBerry Priv Beta update users have reported that the update bumps up the security patch level to September 6.

However, since there is no official changelog available yet, there is no information on what else the update brings. Moreover, the update is restricted to BlackBerry Priv users in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and Canadian carriers.

BlackBerry Priv users under AT&T will be the only bunch of users in the United States to receive the beta update. Once downloaded, this release should appear as AAG202 – AT&T / AAG191 – Canadian and APAC with security patch level showing September 6.
