After months of waiting and weeks after other carriers and the international version got the Jelly Bean update, AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 can finally be updated to the Android 4.1.1.The update apparently is only available via Samsung Kies. There is no Over-the-air update yet. You can visit the official website of Samsung Kies, install the program, connect your phone to the computer and search for the latest updates. It should be right on the screen waiting for you.AT&T is only the third US major carrier that releases the update to their Galaxy S3 users, and this only leaves Verizon behind as the last carrier without the update. The Jelly Bean update is a big one and it should bring a lot of new features, although in some other cases the update seemed to cause more battery drainage than the previous OS. However here's a set of guidelines that should increase your Galaxy S3's battery life.

There are several ways to locate your model number:

On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
Option 3
Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
