While the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is finding appreciation among users all over the world, its predecessor was left unattended, until now. However, the much awaited ZenFone 2 Marshmallow update is finally on its way, months after its variants received the update.
The ZenFone Zoom and ZenFone Selfie received bloat-free Marshmallow update months ago. While missing its update target of Q2 2016 by a long stretch, it is better late than never for the desperate Asus ZenFone 2 users.
The current ZenFone 2 Marshmallow update is rolling out for model version ZE551ML, and the update seems to be rolling out in phases. Apart from the goodness of Marshmallow the update also takes away more than it brings, but in a good way.

Similar to the ZenFone Zoom and Selfie, the current update also seems to be free of all the bundled bloatware apps that came with the device earlier. Offering a sleeker and stock-like experience, the only third-party apps that come with ZenFone 2 Marshmallow update are Facebook and Instagram.
In order to replace the calendar and messaging apps from Asus, the device will accompany Google Calendar and Google Messenger . However, there also seems to be one addition called Dr. Booster, which does seem a bit bloatware-like.
