The appeal that Apple made against Samsung in the case in which they said that the Galaxy Tab copies the iPad was lost. In return Apple has to run apology ads to recover Samsung’s image.

This case originally ended in July when Samsung first won against Apple because the judge considered that the Galaxy Tap isn’t “as cool” as the iPad. Then is when the judge obliged Apple to run apology ads in newspapers and on their website that say that Samsung did not copy the iPad and is not guilty in any manner. The judge said that the ad has to be online for 6 months.

At that point, Apple was not happy with the verdict, and with the ads that they have to show, so they appealed. It looked like the obvious thing to do at the time.

Apparently, 3 moths after, Apple has lost the appeal also and should now start running the ads any time. We don’t know for sure when the advertisements will appear on their website but it should be soon enough. This is a great win for Samsung and they should start regaining popularity among British people.
