Very important news for the users of Android smartphones: Microsoft released an Office Mobile version for Android. Now, you can edit docs directly to your phone and use SkyDrive to sync them. The interface of the program was probably inspired from the Windows 8 Phone version, but it also resembling the Android Holo look too. The application will allow you to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint. All features like charts, animations, shapes, comments and SmartArt Graphics will be available.
The Office Mobile for Office 365, the older version for iOS is better than this one because it allows the customers to use it and perform changes into documents without breaking the formatting for the PC. Also, you can use the Recent Documents function and see the last edited documents for a quicker access. Sharing is also enabled, so you can use the feature very easy if you need more eyes to see what you work .
Office 365 subscription is necessary to use the app
The application can be found on Google Play Store, but it is available only for the US customers. Microsoft made an announcement and promised to add more countries on the list. Also, you will need to have a subscription from Office 365 to use the application. You can try to obtain a trial for 30 days as an alternative. We need to mention that the version for Windows Phone 8 is free to use.
