HTC is planned to begin releasing Google's Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS update to selected carriers in the North American regions. The update is said to only apply to particular smartphones such as the HTC One M8 and the One M9.
Early next week, owners of the One M9 from Videotron, Rogers, Wind or SaskTel, residing in Canada, should expect to see the Marshmallow software update reach their handsets. This was confirmed by HTC USA's VP of Product Management Mo Versi via Twitter.
The good news also goes to owners of the One M8 in the US who are subscribed to the Sprint carrier. In mid next week, these devices should also start to receive the Android 6.0 update. On the other hand, owners of T-Mobile registered One M8 who are still expecting the Marshmallow upgrade, can breath a sigh of relief as the Android Marshmallow update is presently being tested and set to be released on target January 25th date.
Just recently, HTC began the Android 6.0 Marshmallow version update roll out for unlocked editions of One M9.
