Since the launch of Google’s Android Marshmallow version update last year, LG handset users have been among Android smartphone owners looking forward to the update hitting their devices. This includes LG models such as the LG G3, LG G4, LG G Flex 2 and LG V10. The South Korean made the LG G4 the first handset outside the Nexus range to receive the Android 6.0 upgrade.Owners of the LG G4 flagship device in Poland were the first to taste the Android Marshmallow update. The following week, the Android 6.0 update rolled out to LG G4 owners in the company’s home country after which a few Europeans countries receiving the upgrade weeks later. Sprint is currently the only major carrier in the US to have updated to Marshmallow.LG had previously disclosed a list of their LG devices in the line-up for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Apart from the LG G4, there was also the LG V10, the G4 Stylus, the LG G Flex 2 and the LG G3. The Marshmallow update has already reached LG G3 users in Poland as well as the Sprint G4 Stylus models in the US.The Marshmallow Android software update for the LG G3, LG G4, LG G Flex 2 and the LG V10 is currently happening in phases, meaning the timeline depends on region, carrier or device model. Once the update is pushed out, owners will receive system update notification, from there they can click “Download Now” after which they can install the update. To perform a manual check, go to Settings >> About Phone >> Update Center >> Check for updates.

What's my model number?

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
Option 3
Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
