Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update to Galaxy Note 4 handsets has begun rolling out in Russia. The Android update is expected to improve the Galaxy Note 4’s performance and also provide bug fixes.
News about Sammy’s premiere phablet (SM-N910C) getting the update began after a photo of the handset’s screenshot showing the update was seen online. The screenshot came from Russia. However there are no confirmations of the update reaching users in United Kingdom and United States.
Android 5.1.1 Lollipop came as a big surprise following its release in the Galaxy S6 series in mid-June. According to earlier reports, the 5.1.1 update for the Galaxy Note series was in testing phase for the update.
According to Android Authority, it’s yet to be confirmed what the latest firmware should cover but it will likely target the pertinent bug fixes and some features not included in the Android 5.1 Lollipop update.
Soon, Google’s latest firmware will start taking rounds in Samsung major handsets.
Now that the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update has started circulating, there some rumors suggesting the release of Galaxy Android M which is rumored to be a successor of the Android 5.1.1 update.
