Samsung has already revealed their Android 6.0 Marshmallow roll out schedule to their Galaxy range flagship devices and is also presently expected to release the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version update to their mid-range devices such as the Samsung Galaxy E7.Owners of the Galaxy E7 handsets in the Europe and Asian regions along with those in the United States are set start receiving Google’s Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version OS upgrade in the coming days. The update roll out will also include a number of other mid-range phones and tablets.The Galaxy E7 is one of the best-selling Samsung model smartphones and the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will bring critical security patches and a bunch of enhancements including for system performance, battery capacity and a lot more. Also revealed on the changelog, is that the Marshmallow operating system update will also feature a better user interface animations, optimization of the general system, camera and security improvements.Currently the device runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and is set to jump straight to Android 5.1.1, skipping the 5.0, 5.0.2 and 5.1 Lollipop versions. The Lollipop OTA update will weigh around 750MB.In early August of 2015, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version update hit the Galaxy E7 handsets in the India and Russian territories. If you live in the Asia or Europe areas and happen to own the Galaxy E7, you can manually check for the update by going to the Settings >> About Phone >> Software updates and then Check for update.
