Ahead of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, users of AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge wireless network are can still access the live Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update on their devices. The update roll-out is set to bring Android 5.0.2 devices up to date.
Users of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones will receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in form of a 660MB downloadable file. Along with other enhancements, the Android Lollipop update will feature interface tweaks and the prominent Samsung Pay. Though, the official changelog is yet to be released, the update is expected to bring revamped user interface, the latest animation effects, a battery life boost, a faster task switcher animation effects, bug fixes, as well as stability and performance advancements.
Previously, Google made their Android 5.1.1 Lollipop software update live to users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 global smartphone editions. This update is an important part of the process, as it means a much-expected Android 6.0 marshmallow update to the Samsung Galaxy devices.
