Yesterday was an important day for Samsung. They made official the Q1 2014 earnings which stated that the revet Ganues for Q1 2014 are bigger than the ones from Q1 2013. Samsung is looking forward to increases for the next quarter as they launched new handsets like Galaxy S5 or Gear series. The overall revenues for the first quarter in 2014 are $51.8 billion, with $8.2 billion in operating profit and a final $7.3 billion net profit. The mobile division by netting $30.29 billion in revenues and $6.2 billion in operating profit.
Analysts declared that the GalaxS5 will sell better than Galaxy S4, so there is a chance that those numbers will increase for the next quarters. Another profitable segment for Samsung is the tablet segment where they sold almost 13 million tablets in Q1. One of the items that made this increase is Galaxy Tab Pro. It is said that Samsung is working at a new variant of the new flagship S5, called S5 Prime and a mid-range handset called S5 Neo. S5 Prime will possibly be launched in June, while for the other version there aren’t any information yet.
