Google is trying to make the most out of the billion-dollar industry with its YouTube Gaming service. While broadcasting live stream of the gamers may be an old trick, it is being renewed in the name of mobile gaming.
If you have ever wanted to record games on Android, it is now easier than ever before. The best part is that you don’t need a paid app or any special hack to record games on Android. The Google Play Games app may not have live streaming, but it enables you to record mobile gameplay.
Step 1: Install the latest version of Google Play Games

Step 2: Launch a game and begin recording
Once you have installed the latest version of Google Play Games, launch the app and access the main menu. On the main screen, tap on the “Record Gameplay” card or just select one of the games in the “Installed games” section.
On the main screen of the game, press the record on the top-right corner to get started. The next screen will ask you to choose the resolution of your recorded gameplay (720P HD or 480P SD). Once you’ve made your choice, go ahead and press “LAUNCH” to record games on Android.
Step 3: Adjust the recording controls
Once you begin playing the game and record the video, a recording interface will launch as a floating app on the screen. You can tap and hold the interface to move it around, press the Camera icon to switch to back-facing camera.
You can also press the Mic icon to mute the gameplay relay if you want to. Once you have recorded your video, simply press the Stop button to end the video and save it to your Gallery app.
At the end of the gameplay, you can begin to directly upload or edit the video before taking it live to your YouTube fans. Simply use the editing tools to add effects, crop the video or add a different audio clip to the recorded gameplay video.
