Whether you are using your Facebook app on a Samsung device or a Moto range, knowing how to easily sort your news feeds, improve your account security, share status updates or find your favorite content faster can greatly improve your experience. Here is a list of useful Facebook tips and tricks you should try out on your Android phone:
1. Use Widgets
A Facebook widget can be really useful. The widget serves as a window where you can navigate through your friends’ status updates without having to deal with the annoying adverts found in the full app.
2. Notification management
The Facebook app comes with a feature that allows you to enable or disable certain notifications.
Go to Facebook App settings then tap the Notification settings to be able to turn on or off alerts for messages, friend requests, wall posts, photo tags, friend confirmations and more.
3. Find Interesting places in your area
The Facebook app running on your Android phone allows you to take advantage of your location. Tap the Nearby Places option to discover places with a Facebook page around your area.

7. Disable the Messenger chat heads
The Facebook app features a separate Messenger app for Android and one of its unique features is the chat heads that can appear at the top of other apps on your handset.
This can be useful or a nuisance for some, you can disable this feature. Head to the Messenger app settings, select Chat heads to switch on or off the feature.
8. Select your favorite friends

You choose to see someone’s feed before everyone else’s. Head to their page, tap on Following and select See First, they will always be at the top of your news feeds.
10. Disable a friend’s feed
You can stop seeing a friend’s feed without having to unfriend or block them. For this, navigate to their page, tap Following then choose Unfollow to never see their posts or posts they tagged in, without them ever finding out.
