Finally, almost all of the Google Play purchases can be easily shared with a maximum of five members of the Android family. Thanks to Google Play Family library that have been availed on Android smartphones after two years it was debuted for the iOS fans. The Goggle option is more effective and solid. It provides a good amount of controls and customization over what get displayed in the family pool. This means that you can ensure that your kids do not access certain intense movies.

Here is how setup up Google Family to share apps and much more:

Sign up in your Google Play application on a smartphone or on the web. Go to Accountand tapFamily and the hit the Sign upoption. Enter your credit card which will act as a payment method for the members. You are also required to setup some approval measures. Such measures prevent anyone from going wild and draining your Google account on in-app purchases.

Set the content purchased free

To avoid confusion, it is recommended you add all your eligible purchases. If you don’t, you will be forced to the share content purchased with your Androidfamily one at a time. The limitation of this is that everything you have purchased is available to everyone, so if there are some contents you do not want your kids to access, then it would be recommendable to choose one at a time. The next step is inviting your Android family members. Each family member must be of 13 years of age or older, not a member of another Android family, and live the same country as you. You cannotopen a child account like you do in the iOS version. The best alternative is signing in with your account and make that account kid-friendly.

Manage the family

After setting your content free, now it is the time to choose who will get the tickets. The frequent contacts are always at the topmost of family’s list. If someone accepts the invite, you are sent an email. The same happens when someone makes a purchase on the family card.In addition, Google Family can be set up in a way that it sends you a detailed approval before any in-app purchases.

Share the content

Every family member will be given a section in the Google Play Store which details all applications that have been successfully added to the Android Family account. Now what is need to do is selecting that book, TV show, movie, game, or app to download it to your device.Sharing is not included to in-app purchases. So each member is on her own to boost the shared content capabilities.Keep in mind that you aren’t limited to the Android. Google Play Books and Play movies have dedicated browser and iOS versions. Play Movies works well on Chromecast and Android TV, although you will need to use the AirPlay with an Apple TV.You should take time to poke around the account to make it fit for your group. From the settings, you can easily delete a family member if they have aged out of the family or have become a nuisance to the family.
