Like its name, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus comes with an even longer list of capabilities. Along with inheriting all the features of its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, it has a few of its own tricks to boot. It’s a wonder why the Galaxy Edge Plus doesn’t have any of the Galaxy Note functions yet they are practically the same size. Let’s enlighten you on some of the Edge tricks you might or might not know about.
1. Choose your favorite contacts for quick access
Referred to as the People Edge, this allows you to add five contacts which appear as five round bubbles which are shortcuts to your contacts.To set it up: Go to Edge screen SettingsClick on the People edge to turn it ONTap on My People, then add the contacts you want as you customize them by assigning colors for each or putting them in the order you choose.
2. Shortcuts to your apps via Edge Screen
To set it up: Go to the Settings in your phone, the Edge Screen OptionClick on Apps Edge, if it’s set OFF then switch it ONTap Add (+) application and select the application you wantTo put them in an order you want, tap on EDIT in the top right corner; and that is it. Now you can swipe away from the Edge Display to get easier access to your Apps.
3. Edge Lighting for Notifications
This feature only applies to the contacts in People edge that you may have already set up.Simply, go to Settings, Edge Screen optionClick on Edge Lighting and set it for ON.
4. Set a Side for the Edge Display
By determining the side you want your display to be on, you choose where you will be able to access all the tricks you set up. You can only choose side but could always change it later.Go to Settings, then Edge ScreenScroll for the Edge screen positionNow select the Edge Screen side you preferYou can now choose your desired placing for the Edge screen tab, which opens you up to the Edge screen menu.
5. Get News, Weather and Twitter updates on the Edge Display
This is a neat feature called the Information Stream; this is especially handy when your screen display is off. Get your weather, news, scores of all your favorite games and more on your Edge screen. Just slide your finger on the display’s edge to see the news stream.Simply, Tap on your Edge screen in the Settings Tab.Click on the Information Stream to switch it ONEnable, Disable or Download more feeds on the Manage Feeds optionIn the Edge Screen Timeout choose how long you want the screen to stay on.To have your weather stream information active, ensure that the Samsung weather widget is on the Home Screen.
6. Send quick replies to your favorites while your Phone is face down
