Google’s new approach to wearables is full of tweaks and features. If you happen to possess one of the Android Wear watches, then you are in for a surprise. This also applies for those who have a new LG Watch Sport or LG Watch Style.Google added new incredible features by making Android pay possible on Wear Watches, giving Android fans a more capable wearable that they can use to make their life more convenient.With your Android Wear Watch you can play music, book a flight, get directions but most importantly you can use Wear Smartwatch to pay for things.

Here is a quick guide on how to pay for things with your device

First of all, your device is required to have a chip (NFC) similar to the one in your smartphone and you are good to go!Android pay is quite an easy to use feature, you are only required to get two things right:
  • Smartwatch and Android pay app on your smartphone (updated with all the debit/credit card details).
  • Bluetooth connectivity between the smartwatch and smartphone.
From your smartwatch, open Android pay app then click on ‘add card’. Make sure that your watch is connected to your smartphone so that the Android pay app gets your card details. From there you will be able to pick up your phone and verify details with your bank then you can launch the Android pay app on your wearable. You are required to place the top edge of your device to the payment terminal. And when the payment portal is connected you will feel a long vibration on your device.If you happen to have several cards and you want to change the default one before making any payments, well that’s quite easy to do;
  • Click on the card to view its details
  • Swipe up on the card and then click the blue bar with a check mark at the bottom.
If you wish to delete a card, follow the same procedure but give the bar an extra swipe and click the trash can to remove.

You can also lock up Android pay app on your phone

Android pay app requires you to enable a secure lock screen, so that it doesn’t land into the wrong hands. To guarantee the security of Android pay on your device, you can lock it by using a pattern, password, or pin.
