Pokémon GO may be the ultimate way to relive your childhood, but it isn’t your phone’s best friend. Pokémon GO can take a toll on your device’s battery life, so you may want to move Pokémon GO to new Android device.
Whether you are switching to a new Android phone or just want to move your Pokémon activities to a secondary device, there is an easy way to do it.
If you used Google Account in Pokémon GO
Once you have downloaded Pokémon GO on your new Android device, simply sign in with your Google account. All your progress from the old Pokémon GO app will be synced with the new one.
Side Note: Looking to start your own website/blog? We highly recommend using Bluehost, and you can get started now at $2.95/month, which is an exclusive deal only available here on Updato!
If you used Pokémon Trainer Club account
Under the “Sign up with” tab on your Pokémon GO app, enter the username and password of your Pokémon Trainer Club account. Press “Sign in” and wait as the app syncs all you progress to move Pokémon GO to new Android device.
Recover progress if you already signed with another account
If you have mistakenly signed into the Pokémon GO app on your new Android device, everything is lost just yet. Tap on the Poké Ball and tap the Settings icon on the screen.
From the new screen, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap on “Sign out”. You can now sign back into the Pokémon GO account you have used on your old Android device and recover all of your progress in the game.
