Since it's Google, the Hangouts Dialer app will feel just like using any native Android app. Open it up from the home screen or from within the original Google Hangouts app and tap the keypad button.

If you share the account with other users or don’t want someone to see your call logs, open up the app. Press the white phone icon on the top right corner of the screen and then tap on “Clear recent”.
