Google Pixel users have something to celebrate: Gone are the days where was supposed on your Android handset causing you to spend a lot of time looking at the funky robot on your screen as you wait for applications to update.Luckily, starting with the Android Nougat beta, which is currently available on the Google Pixel line, the OS updates are being installed in the background. You will no longer wait for the update to download, then start installing, and then wait without using your phone.The good news is, Google released the Google Pixel’s first update so you should be ready for the update as long as you follow the steps below.
  • Go to Settings
  • Tap About phone and hit System updates
  • Click system updates
Once your smartphone recognizes there is an update, it asks you for permission to download. After it is downloaded, it starts installing in the background. You can then start using your smartphone as the process begins. Check on your Facebook feeds, Twitter and also play games as it update.The installation can take for one and half hours on your Google Pixel without noticing any lag during the update. After the installing, the update, restart it to complete the full update. What's my model number?

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
